Emergency Housing
PROVIDING VITAL ASSISTANCE DURING A HOUSING CRISIS
Townspeople’s Emergency Housing Program offers non-congregate, temporary housing in local hotels and motels with supportive services for San Diegans who are experiencing homelessness while also living with HIV/AIDS. Our aim is to connect participants with the resources needed to obtain and maintain permanent housing as quickly as possible.
Throughout the year, we are sometimes able to expand eligibility for this program depending on available funds. Please contact us directly to check on current eligibility requirements.
Thank you to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, County of San Diego, and Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Food and Shelter Program for their support of this important service.

END-OF-YEAR GIVING: DONATE TO TOWNSPEOPLE’S EMERGENCY HOUSING PROGRAM
Through the end of 2022, we’re focused on raising funds for our emergency housing program. Every dollar counts, especially as we help unhoused San Diegans get through the coldest days of the year. Donations of $25 and more help us provide adults, teens, and children served by our emergency housing program with a range of resources and services:
- $25 helps provide hygiene kits
- $50 supports meal kits
- $100 covers the cost of a one-night hotel stay
- $500 covers the cost of a five-night hotel stay
Please donate what you can and raise awareness of our end-of-year giving campaign! Through your collective efforts, we can continue to put roofs over the heads of San Diego’s most vulnerable citizens.
